WinterFest 2013 will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hudson Valley Rail Trail Depot at 101 New Paltz Road in Highland. The event features the “Best of Fest” chili-tasting contest, along with tractor-drawn wagon rides on the trail, roasted chestnuts, toasted marshmallows, a children’s tent, a chain saw expo, activities with special prizes and a Lowe’s of Highland children’s “build-a-project” tent.
