Remember when you were young and the pavement was your canvas? The Hudson Valley Chalk Art Festival is calling for local artists to participate in this year’s event. Water Street Market in downtown New Paltz is hosting The Hudson Valleys First Ever Chalk Art Festival from July 20-22. For three full days, twelve professional chalk artists from around the country will draw breathtaking illustrations and unreal 3D images, which will be free to the public to observe. We are looking for Hudson Valley artists to show off their talents alongside these professionals.
All skill levels and all types of artists are welcome to apply. You do not need to be a chalk artist to be accepted. If you are interested in participating, the selection committee needs your bio and a photo sample of your artwork (does not need to be chalk art) submitted to hudsonvalleychalkfestival@gmail.com.
