Free ice skating event

A community skate event at the Saugerties Kiwanis Ice Arena is planned for this Saturday,
March 10 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to include demonstrations of how to play hockey, figure skate and speed skate plus free, on ice, skate instructions. Schoolchildren of all ages are invited to come on ice dressed in their favorite literary character. A trophy will be awarded to the best dressed. No admission. No fees. Skates are available for a $3 rental fee if needed. This community event is sponsored by the Friends of the Saugerties Public Library, where a selection of skating books is available.
