The Ulster County SPCA now offers special low cost spay/neuter services for pit bulls and pit bull mixes through a targeted grant from Animal Farm Foundation of Bangall. The fee to have a pit bull dog fixed has been reduced to $85.
“Our goal is to reach those who have been unable to afford this service, or were unaware of how important it is to get their dogs fixed” said Brian Shapiro, executive director of the UCSPCA.
“Animal Farm Foundation is pleased to partner with the UCSPCA to make these important services both affordable and accessible to the community and to celebrate ‘pit bull’ dogs,” said Kim Wolf, community engagement specialist for the Animal Farm Foundation.
