Padraig Julius Tobin Flusser, 25, of New Paltz, New York, died on March 2022, in Sunnyside, Queens, New York, from drug addiction and fentanyl overdose. He was born in Rhinebeck, New York, in October 1996. Padraig’s family who preceded him in death includes his grandparents Beth and Richard Flusser, great-grandmother Annette Liebowitz, and great-aunt Rozy Borkow. On his mother’s side, Padraig was predeceased by his grandfather Pat (Francis) Tobin, great-aunt Ginger (Mary) Tobin Bolbrock, and his aunt Kari Balchunas Bates.
There are no words sufficient to communicate the devastation of Padraig’s sudden departure on his family who include his siblings Myles and Maeve Flusser, mother kt (Kathleen) Tobin and Donald Doughty, father Matthew Flusser and Alexandra Birnkrant, grandparents Pamela (Mima) and Craig Balchunas, aunts and uncles Jennifer-jo and Daniel Moyer, Pat and Janet Tobin, Chris and Rita Tobin, Kevin Tobin and Lisa Black, Kimberli and Tim Spolar, Joseph Bates, Bryant and Patricia Pappas, cousins Sam and Evan Borkow, beloved first cousins Michael, Timothy, Matthew, Colin, Nicholas, Marley, Siena, Kirsten, Kyle, and Campbell, and his best friend Hunter Carrier.
A celebration of Padraig’s life will be held on June 3, 2022, from 5pm to 8pm, at the Field of Dreams, 241 Libertyville Road, New Paltz, New York. Please make donations in his name to the New Paltz Youth Program or the Ukrainian American Coordinating Council.
