Nancy Kafka

Nancy Kafka, 78, of Reynolds Ln., died Monday, October 4, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Brooklyn on June 13, 1943 to the late Irving and Roslyn Kafka. She graduated from Brooklyn College. Nancy moved to Woodstock in 1972, where she served as the Director of Family of Woodstock and then Director of the YWCA in Kingston before opening Vidakafka, where she kept the community in lingerie for many years. A devoted Mets fan, she also worked as a baseball umpire for a short time. Nancy continued her work with Family of Woodstock, in the Evolve program, until recently.

Nancy has many loved ones. She is the beloved mother of Aviva Kafka of Tivoli and mother-in-law of Eric Kafka; grandmother of Benjamin Kafka, fiancé Alexia Smith, granddaughter Lily Kafka and beloved Jesse Jones. She was predeceased by her sister Frayda Kafka in 2016.

Her Funeral Service will be held 4pm Thursday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., Saugerties. Visitation will be held prior from 2-4 pm Thursday. Further obituary information and expressions of condolence may be shared with the family on her Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com.
