Mitchell Myer, Sr., known to friends and family as “Poppy,” passed away on September 25, 2018 at the age of 91.
Born in the Highwoods area on September 27, 1926, he was a lifelong resident of Saugerties and a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy (Schoonmaker) and children Mitchell Myer, Jr, and wife Karen, Patricia Benzenhoefer, and husband Gerhard, Kevin Myer, and wife Shannon, and David Myer, and wife Jenifer, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A celebration of his life will be held on November 10, 2018 at Centerville Fire House, Saugerties, NY From 2:00-6:00 pm.
