Lawrence “Chip” Brill

Lawrence Lee Brill, 66, known to all as Chip, of Kingston, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Health Alliance Hospital’s Broadway Campus.

Born in Oceanside, Long Island, he was the son of the late Jerry & Marion Goodstein Brill. In addition to his parents, Lawrence is predeceased by his sister Linda Brill.

Chip was loved for his brilliant and common-sense intellect, razor sharp wit, and his generosity of spirit. His passions in life were managing the annual Woodstock Christmas Day dinner/party at the Woodstock Community Center, being a Production Partner/Publisher and Operations Manager of the annual Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase, the NYT crossword puzzles, baseball and football. Last, but not least, Chip loved his friends.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julie Brill. He is also survived by several cousins.

Funeral service and Internment will be held privately. A memorial celebration of Chip’s life will be announced at a later date.
