Laura Dzwonek, age 90 passed on April 15th, 2019 from congestive heart failure, at Englewood Healthcare, Englewood, FL, where she resided for the last two years.
Born on July 7th, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Filomena and Salvatore Bologna. She moved to New Paltz, NY in 1956 where she spent most of her life. Her husband William Dzwonek (deceased) worked for IBM in Kingston, NY.
Laura was employed by Western Publishing in Poughkeepsie, NY. She then volunteered as a teacher’s aide at Lenape Elementary School in New Paltz, NY before moving to Englewood, FL in 2015. She had a strong love for her family and was an excellent cook.
She is survived by daughter Kathleen Dzwonek Wensley and husband Walter from Rotonda West, FL; daughter Francine Dzwonek DeGrood and husband Richard from Englewood, FL; son Stephen Dzwonek and wife Helen Lang Dzwonek from Dunstable, MA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Bologna Tierney and brother John Bologna. She was predeceased by brothers Anthony Bologna and William Bologna, and sister Josie Bologna Gabriel
Laura was so loved and will always be remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
