Hans Martin Hadley

Hans Martin Hadley, formerly of Birdsboro, PA, passed away peacefully at home in Saugerties, NY, on January 28, 2022. He was 65 years old.

Born on March 16, 1956 in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of Samuel Howard Hadley and Edeltraud Martina Binner.

A master carpenter by trade, Hans was self-employed for many years and more recently worked for Third Generation Construction in Saugerties. Those who knew him best are familiar with his meticulous craftsmanship, his inspired landscape designs, and the pride he took in his exceptional tilework. Hans will also be remembered for his unique sarcastic wit, for his love of classic rock and good Mexican food, and for his lifelong passion for motorcycling.

Hans is survived by his son Justin Hadley and his stepson Wayne Bennett; by his sisters, Julie Dillard (Mack), Catherine Hadley, and Carolyn Claahsen (David); and by his longtime companion, Maryann Shand. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Jessica Bishop; Zach and Drew Vereb; Jordan and Trey Dillard; and Maximilian Claahsen. He was predeceased by his parents; by his son Dylan Keith Hadley of Chicago; and by his brother Samuel Herbert Hadley of St. John, USVI.

There will be a private memorial for friends and family at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc., cor. of John & Lafayette Sts., Saugerties. Condolences may be shared with his family on Hans’s Tribute Wall at SeamonWilseyFuneralHome.com.
