SAUGERTIES…. Frances S. Hanson, 92, of Finger St. died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Ferncliff Nursing Home.  Born January 5, 1926 in Saugerties she was the daughter of the late Francis and Ida Smith.   A lifetime area resident she was employed for over 23 years at Saugerties Senior High School in the Guidance Department retiring in 1982.
An active quilter, she made quilts for each of her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of the Wiltwyck Quilters, the Saugerties Monday Club, the Saugerties Garden Club the Saugerties Reformed Church where she served as the Treasurer of the Women’s Group.
Predeceased by her husband, Henry and a Daughter, Karen McKenzie, survivors include 2 Sons: Rev. Stephen (Linda) Hanson of NJ. And Eric (Deborah) Hanson of Clifton Park, 6 Grandchildren: Christine (Michael) Spallino of Saugerties, David (Jeanne) Hanson of Pittsburgh, Kelly (John ) Connolly of NC, Susan (Brian) Brutting of Poughtkeepsie, Stacey (Nick) Hanson of Pittsburgh and Kelsey Hanson of Albany.   Great Grandchildren: Corey and Kaileana Spallino, Alexander McKenzie, Devon Connolly, Bryce and Brian III.
Her Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. Cor. of John & Lafayette Sts. Friends will be received Sunday 2:00 –3:00 PM.  Interment will be held in the Blue Mt.
