Elaine Wittman Chaback, 81 of Woodstock & NYC died June 5, 2019.
Elaine was a fearless, creative editor & author, culinary artist, devout animal lover and steward of the environment. She donated 123 acres to the Woodstock Land Conservancy as the Israel Wittman Sanctuary in memory of her beloved father. If you have a chance to visit the sanctuary trails, stop for a moment and send her a thought.
Elaine is survived by her daughter Leah Chaback Katz and her two granddaughters, Sonya & Nadia and a host of dear friends.
There will be a remembrance for Elaine at Lasher’s Funeral Home, 100 Tinker Street, Woodstock on Saturday, June 15th from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
