Carol Ann M. Lohrman

Carol Ann M. Lohrman, 72, of New Paltz, NY, formerly of Gardiner, NY, where she spent most of her life, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY.  She was born September 23, 1945 in Newburgh, NY, the daughter of the late George J. and Irene (Stamatedes) Majestic.  Carol married William E. Lohrman on September 1, 1996 in Wallkill, NY.

Carol was employed as a Bookkeeper by the Town of Gardiner for 38 years until her retirement in 2005. Carol was a member of the Gardiner Reformed Church and was involved in the Sunday Bible Study Group and the Tuesday Praise and Pray Group, as well as doing bookkeeping for the church. Carol was also a member of the Friends of Gardiner Library and volunteered her time for Gardiner Day.  In her free time, Carol loved reading mystery novels.

In addition to her husband, Bill, Carol is survived by her two sons: Joseph G. Sobon of Gardiner and Michael E. Sobon and his wife, Jeanine Caso-Sobon, of Gardiner; her brothers: George W. Majestic and his wife, Carol, of Florida and Richard M. Majestic and his wife, Laura, of Gardiner; her grandchildren, Brooke-Lynn Caso, Rachael Hammons, Aiden Caso-Sobon and Amanda Caso-Sobon; and two nieces.  She was predeceased by her brother, Robert C. Majestic.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August, 16, 2018 from 4 – 7 pm at Copeland Funeral Home, 162 South Putt Corners Road, New Paltz, NY.  A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11 am at the Gardiner Reformed Church.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gardiner Reformed Church, 166 Main Street, P.O. Box 261, Gardiner, NY  12525.
