A Saugerties man who was arrested on felony charges on Feb. 20 was released and arrested five days later on more felony charges.
Vincent Neglia Jr., 39, was arrested around 3:50 p.m. on Feb. 25 on Route 32 following what police described as an ongoing stalking investigation. He was charged with three counts of first-degree criminal contempt and stalking in the second degree, both felonies, along with stalking in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor. Police said Neglia was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail.
The Feb. 25 arrest came shortly after Neglia’s Feb. 20 arrest, also on Route 32, stemming from what police described as a dispute. In that earlier incident, police charged Neglia with felony burglary in the third degree and felony criminal contempt in the first degree. He also faced misdemeanor charges of menacing in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was also arrested in 2018 and 2022 for alleged violent crimes.
