A fatal motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Stone Ridge man on Sunday, June 29, according to state police.
Jeffrey Edward Charles, 56, originally from Kingston, had been driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Route 10 in Essex County when he lost control going around a curve and exited the road. His vehicle struck a tree and he was ejected.
First responders from Elizabethtown and Lewis EMS attempted life-saving measures on scene, but Charles succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Elizabethtown Community Hospital.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
