Police seek help finding missing Kingston man last seen in New Paltz

UPDATE: On Tuesday, Dec. 10, Kaprelian was sadly reported to be found deceased in the New Paltz woods.

The City of Kingston Police Department is currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 58-year-old Peter H. Kaprelian, who was last seen on December 4, 2024. Kaprelian, who stands about 6’2” and weighs around 190 pounds, was reportedly observed that afternoon at approximately 3:30 p.m. in front of the Tops Friendly Markets at New Paltz Plaza, where he collects donations for the Salvation Army. He is a resident of Kingston,

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Kaprelian or who has information about his whereabouts to contact the City of Kingston Police Department at (845) 331-1671. Those who wish to speak directly to an investigator may reach out to Detective Jason Charest at (845) 240-5450. When calling, refer to incident number BL-20334-24.
