According to New York state police, David V. Sidorenko, 55, died Saturday, Nov. 16 after failing to negotiate a curve and crashing an ATV into a cluster of trees on on Dry Brook Road. First responders found him ejected from the vehicle, and he was rushed to Margaretville Memorial Hospital in Delaware County, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Sidorenko was a lieutenant in the City of Rochester Fire Department, serving for over 19 years at multiple houses. He was remembered in his obituary for his “dedication, leadership, sense of humor, and love for his fire department family” as well as being “a devoted father and husband and was married to his wife for 27 years.”
A celebration of life is set for Sunday, Dec. 1 at the IAFF Local 1071 Union Hall at 65 Hudson Avenue in Rochester.
