History comes alive at the Senate House this Saturday as the star-spangled Let Freedom Ring celebration kicks off a full day of family-friendly activities. Scout Pack 11 will lead a flag retirement ceremony, then actors will simulate the American encampments of yesteryear, including 18th-century food demos, crafts and speeches from Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony. Mark Rust and the Ancient Order of Hibernians Pipe Band will provide period-perfect live music.
