New Paltz village planning board chair questions elected leaders, resigns from post

Wrestling with having two candidates that were each valuable in their own way, New Paltz Town Council members have named Jennifer Welles to a seat on the planning board and invited David Gilmour to serve as an alternate member. Gilmour is a planner by trade and has decades of experience navigating the planning process with an eye on the long-term impacts of every planning decision.
