Welles named to New Paltz planning board

Wrestling with having two candidates that were each valuable in their own way, New Paltz Town Council members have named Jennifer Welles to a seat on the planning board and invited David Gilmour to serve as an alternate member. Welles, a former member of the village’s affordable housing board, brings to the board table expertise on housing issues not currently represented. Gilmour is a planner by trade and has decades of experience navigating the planning process with an eye on the long-term impacts of every planning decision . . .
