A hearing was scheduled on a proposal to make Huguenot Street in New Paltz one way from Broadhead to Mulberry, with vehicular traffic to be restricted to northbound only. This would in effect expand an existing village rule, which imposes that limitation on Sunday mornings, and is intended to further protect the fragile historic buildings from the impacts of constant motorized traffic past their centuries-old foundations. The public hearing will be opened on Jan. 27.
