Traffic stop in New Paltz yields hundreds of heroin bags

State Police arrested James T. Lyons Jr., 28, of Saugerties, and Jerron E. Holloway, 29, of Kingston on Friday, Jan. 27 and charged them with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Lyons and Holloway were arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of New Paltz in which police found both Lyons and Holloway were in possession of 279 bags of heroin.

Lyons and Holloway were arraigned before City of Kingston Justice Kirshner.  Lyons was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $2,500 cash/$5,000 bond. Holloway was remanded to Ulster County Jail on $7,500 cash/$10,000 bond.
