Exotic dancers busted for prostitution in New Paltz

Ulster County police continued their vice crackdown last weekend, arresting three women at an undercover sting operation at the Blue Moon Cabaret on Rt. 299 on Friday, Jan. 20.

According to URGENT (Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team), undercover officers posed at patrons and received offers for unlawful sexual conduct from three of the six dancers working that evening.  At the end of the operation, the offending dancers were taken into custody.

This is the second operation conducted by URGENT into prostitution activity at this establishment.  On Sept. 4, 2016, three dancers were arrested and charged with prostitution after a similar undercover operation.

Jill L. Tompkins, 47, of West Kill, NY, Honeysue Miller, 28, of Poughkeepsie and Angela R. Gaugler, 30, of Carmel were arrested for the misdemeanor of Prostitution.  Ms. Gaugler was also previously arrested by URGENT on Sept. 4.  All three were released with appearance tickets returnable to New Paltz Court at a later time.

URGENT was assisted by New Paltz Police uniformed patrols.  The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed.
