No challengers for Saugerties Village Board seats

Only Village of Saugerties trustee incumbents Vincent Buono, Donald Hackett, and Terry Parisian have registered to run for three, two-year seats on the village board.

All three will be running on the New Vision Party line in the March 15 election. The lone polling station will be at the village hall at 43 Partition St., open for voting from noon until 9 p.m.

Paper ballots will be used because the village is no longer permitted to use the lever voting machines, and officials did not want to pay the high cost of using the optical scanners that are used in the town, county, state and federal elections.
