Youth Job Fair Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announces that the Youth Council of the Ulster County’s Workforce Investment Board (UCWIB) is sponsoring its seventh annual Northern Ulster Young Adult Job Fair on Wednesday, April 1 at the Ulster Works OneStop Center located at 651 Development Court, Ulster Avenue, Kingston from 12-2 p.m.  Businesses from throughout Ulster and Dutchess counties will be participating in the Job Fair and will be ready to interview and hire young adults for full- and part-time openings. Young adults ages 16 to 21 who are seeking employment are invited to participate.

“The Young Adult Job Fair is a great opportunity for our young people to learn about immediate employment opportunities,” said Ulster County Executive Mike Hein.  Jobs help young people to learn vital skills and gain experience that helps them with their future endeavors.”

Young adults attending the Job Fair are required to be “interview ready” prior to their admission to the Job Fair.  This includes following the dress code established by the Youth Council of UCWIB:

  • present a clean and neat appearance.
  • no T-shirts or tank tops
  • no mini-skirts

Young adults should bring copies of their résumé if they have one.  If they do not have one, they should attend the free onsite Résumé Help taking place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., immediately prior to the job fair. WIB Youth Council staff will assist them in creating a résumé in one of the Business Resource Center’s computer labs.

For additional information, call Ulster County’s Office of Employment and Training (845) 340-3170 and ask for Lisa Berger.
