Town justice
The epitome of a good judge
I have had the distinct pleasure and honor of appearing before Hon. Daniel N. Lamb, Jr., town of Saugerties judge, as a prosecutor for the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, a defense attorney for criminal defendants, a plaintiff’s attorney and defense attorney on civil cases. I have also appeared in these capacities in many other courts and in front of many other judges in New York State. This has given me a lot of perspective when comparing and appraising Judge Lamb as the town of Saugerties judge.
Over the past, almost fifteen years, I have been able to appear before and witness Judge Lamb preside over countless controversies in court both firmly and fairly. In the midst of the sea of voices, claims, and upset people that make up those controversies you find in court, Judge Lamb is always the voice of calm, reason, and unquestionably in charge.
I know that most of you reading this may never come into contact with Judge Lamb or the Town of Saugerties Court. So why is it so important a decision as to who the judge is? Justice and the protection of people’s rights are central to the core of our country. In the judiciary system, that begins on the town court level.
Our constitution has provided us with rights to protect us. However, to protect those rights you need a town judge who will preside over matters before her or him impartially and after hearing all sides, witnesses and evidence presented by the parties, assessing the credibility of that information and issuing a ruling that not only protects the rights of us as individuals but also imparts justice. Judge Lamb epitomizes such a judge.
For Judge Lamb, there is only one side in a case, and that is the side of justice. You have not achieved justice if you have not gotten there fairly.
Judge Lamb has the character, the demeanor, the wisdom, the toughness, the intellect, the sense of justice and fairness, the understanding of people, the convictions of his beliefs and the knowledge of the law that are all central to making a wonderful judge.
I know that Judge Lamb embodies what a town judge should be and that he will continue to do so in the future. That is why I endorse Hon. Daniel N. Lamb, Jr. for Town of Saugerties Judge.

Walter: Intelligent, caring and compassionate
I have known the Walter family since 1975 as social director at Solway House and became a close friend to Martha and Jack. Since their passing their son Lanny and his wife Carole have provided assistance to me in my senior years (now 96) and have included me in most of their family parties and events. I have had many opportunities to observe Lanny as a son, husband and father as well as my attorney and as a community leader and advocate. He is an intelligent, caring and compassionate human being who would make a wonderful judge for the people of Saugerties. Please vote for him. Thank you.

Every vote counts
As the election draws close, my efforts continue door-to-door and with mailings, advertisements and lawn signs. Each vote is cherished, just ask Senator Tkaczyk (18-vote winner). People who run for office invest a great deal of time, money and sweat. Those running for local office should be valued as much as state and federal candidates. Local officials touch all of our lives and hopefully will preserve the community we love and call home. Please do not stay away from the voting booths. Thanks to all of you who vote, especially those of you who vote for me.
