The Gardiner Democratic Committee will honor Congressman Maurice Hinchey on Sunday, Sept. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mohonk Mountain House. Congressman Hinchey is retiring after 38 years of service to the people of the Hudson Valley. Assemblyman Kevin Cahill and Glenn Hoagland of the Mohonk Preserve will pay tribute to him. Environmentalist Cara Lee, a strong advocate for PCB removal from the Hudson, will speak about their shared initiatives on behalf of the environment.

The reception will feature hot and cold hors d’oeuvres and Tuthilltown Spirits will be offering a complimentary tasting of its signature products. Musicians Jay and Molly Ungar will perform in Congressman Hinchey’s honor. A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are $50, advance sale only. Reservations must be received by Monday, Sept. 3. Please send a check made payable to The Gardiner Democratic Committee, P.O. Box 25, New Paltz, New York 12561.
