Woodstock deputy supervisor Kahn sues Onteora over gay harassment

Alleging that he “endured a hostile educational environment on account of his sexual orientation,” town of Woodstock deputy Supervisor and former Onteora student Liam Kahn, 18, has filed a Civil Rights lawsuit against the Onteora Central School District and individually against High School Principal Lance Edelman and Vice Principal Jess Robertson.

In the suit, Kahn seeks compensatory damages due to “pain and suffering resulting from defendants’ deliberate indifference,” and punitive damages against the “individual defendants.” In the document, obtained from Kahn’s lawyer Stephen Bergstein, Kahn alleges gender-based bullying that began in 2006 after Kahn, then in Middle School . . .
